Why does the app need microphone access?
The tuner listens to your instrument's pitch through your device's microphone to show accurate flat/sharp/in‑tune readings. Audio is processed on‑device only and is never recorded or uploaded.
What is the Torch Flash metronome, and why does it need camera/flashlight access?
Torch Flash turns your device's flashlight into a silent, visual metronome beat. iOS requires camera access to control the torch hardware — the app does not capture or store any photo or video.
My tuner reading looks unstable or inaccurate. What can I do?
Try tuning in a quiet room, hold the device close to your instrument, and pluck a single string cleanly rather than strumming. Background noise or overlapping notes can affect pitch detection accuracy.
Can I use the metronome and tuner independently of each other?
Yes. Tuner screens and the metronome are separate tabs, so you can switch between tuning and rhythm practice without losing your settings.
How do I set a custom tempo instead of tapping it?
Use the tempo slider on the Metronome screen to set an exact BPM, or tap along in time with a song using Tap Tempo — both update the beat instantly.
