Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using LinkTag effectively.

No. LinkTag is built on a privacy-first, offline-first architecture. All your links, keywords, and categories are stored directly on your phone’s local storage. None of your browsing habits or links are ever transmitted to an external server.

Tapping any saved word opens an action sheet with four instant options:

  • Copy: Copies the URL directly to your device clipboard with a confirmation banner.
  • Share: Opens the system share drawer with a clean template message ("Check out this link for [Word]: [URL]").
  • Open: Launches the web link directly in your phone’s default browser or custom tab.
  • QR Code: Renders a clear QR code on your screen so someone nearby can scan and open it instantly.

Navigate to the Manage tab at the bottom of the app. In the top bar, you will see Import CSV and Export CSV.

When exporting, LinkTag creates a standard file with columns: name, url, category, subcategory, image_url, is_favorite. You can store this backup on Google Drive, transfer it to another device, or edit it directly in Google Sheets or Excel.

Yes! In the Manage tab, tap the pencil icon beside any entry to open the Quick Edit modal, where you can modify the title, URL, Category, or Subcategory. Alternatively, tap the Categories tool on top to rename or delete category tags globally.

Ensure your link begins with https:// or http:// (e.g., https://www.in2words.in). If you omit the scheme, LinkTag attempts to append https:// automatically, but standard, valid URLs prevent parsing errors.
